
FY26 Core & Emergency Grant Awards
Core Grants are awarded annually to Indian River County nonprofits for capital needs. Agencies eligible for capital funding are those that serve people in need in Indian River County and whose programs are directed towards meeting needs or assisting with issues related to food, shelter, disabilities, health, age, abuse or education.
Emergency and Accelerated Grants are off-cycle and time-sensitive grants that are awarded in cases of significant human need or economic implications.
Dedicated to enriching the lives of Indian River County youth through mentoring relationships that inspire trust, self-esteem and positive futures.
$56,891.75 to purchase a commercial walk-in freezer and cooler for the culinary program at the YG Center, which will also be used as an IRC emergency shelter.
To provide Indian River County with educational, recreational and competitive sailing programs for all ages in a fun, safe environment.
$45,000 to enhance specialty safety boat for the Adaptive Sailing Program.

$100,000 to expand day program facilities at new location in Vero Beach.

To elevate and promote the highest quality childcare development and education in Indian River County, focusing on economically challenged children and families.
$100,000 to build the Atrium, and early childhood professional education center at the Childcare Resources Community Center in downtown Vero Beach.

To serve as the premier recovery and sober living program in Florida. Our goal is to establish a foundation of recovery for our residents and their families, leading them to a Dynamic Life.
$55,000 to install a storage shed freeing up space for case workers to conduct one on one counseling.

To transition at-risk people from poverty to self-sufficiency.
$50,000 to purchase a vehicle to support the Head Start program.

To educate, inspire, and empower all people to be active stewards of the environment and their own well-being.
$65,000 to replace A/C units cooling the Lagoon Gallery Classroom, Tidal Wave Classroom, and Welcome Center.

$29,536 to make equipment and safety upgrades to communal areas in the Vero Beach shelter.

$100,000 to outfit the new pediatric dental center in Oslo.

To serve families and individuals by providing crisis care, case management, transformative education, food and household subsidy, employment training and placement, personal empowerment training and active referrals to other collaborative social service providers.
$87,500 to replace failed refrigeration system at UP Grocery Store.

Provides compassionate, innovative care of the highest quality, setting the standard for patients and caregivers needing home health, hospice, and community health services.
$100,000 towards roof replacement at the Hospice House.

To broaden the opportunities available to disadvantaged youth through baseball, affording players better exposure and scholarships for educational endeavors.
$49,721.44 to purchase a multipurpose vehicle to support the Fun at Bat program.

Wounded Waters - Provides wounded warriors, including Combat Veterans, Active Military, and First Responders with group fishing trips and other outdoor experiences to combat the effects of war related trauma and PTSD.
$49,750 to replace two boat motors for support group programming for wounded veterans.
